On a massive world-crushing event happening in his lifetime: “It won't take very much, I'm telling you. It will not take much for people to hit the panic button. The amount of convenience that people rely on based on electricity alone. You start taking out electricity and satellites, and people are going to lose their noodle. People don't have maps anymore. People use their iPhones or GPS systems, so if there's no electricity, nobody has maps.”

On losing power last Christmas: “It was 20 below zero. I got my guns out. We made a fire. We went to the grocery store, and the doors were open because they're all electronic. People were rolling in and out, clearing out the shelves.”

On the training he puts his body through: Ashton enjoys runs at Runyon Canyon near his Los Angeles home, as well as hour of hot Bikram yoga. He is also learning Krav Maga, which is a combat technique used by the Israeli army and by special elite forces around the world.

Avril Brody and boyfriend Brody Jenner make their way through LAX to catch a departing flight on Monday (December 27) in Los Angeles.

The couple celebrated the holidays with Brody’s step-sister Kim Kardashian and her family at their holiday bash on Christmas Eve.

The same day, Kim enjoyed a girls’ day out with Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin. The two stopped by a nail salon and shopped at Hermes and Chanel in Beverly Hills.

Earlier in the day, an ad campaign for Hugo Boss‘ new fragrance featuring Orlando was revealed.

Orly, 33, was announced as the new face of Boss Orange earlier this year.

Last week, Orlando braved the rain in Los Angeles as he got out of his car to chat with another driver.

Vanessa Hudgens attempts to hide her face while walking back to her car after some pampering on Tuesday (December 28) in Studio City, Calif.

The 22-year-old Sucker Punch actress visited Ricki Criswell Skin Care and Waxing Studio and covered her mouth while waiting at the valet stand.

The day before, Vanessa grabbed lunch at Studio Cafe with her High School Musical 3 castmate Matt Prokop and Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland.

Reese Witherspoon is set to marry boyfriend Jim Toth, her rep confirms to JustJared.com.

“They are extremely happy,” her rep told Us Weekly.

The actress, 34, and Jim, 40, an agent at Hollywood talent agency CAA, began dating at the beginning of the year and went public with their relationship during a romantic weekend in Ojai, Calif.

“Reese is definitely happy, in love and definitely wants to settle down,” says a pal.

Lily Allen is reportedly set to tie the knot with longtime boyfriend Sam Cooper!

The 25-year-old singer “burst into tears” when Sam, 32, proposed at sunset on Christmas while they were vacationing in Bali, Indonesia, according to U.K.’s Daily Mail.

“It has been a terrible time for Lily and Sam, but they are totally in love with one another,” said a friend, referring to her miscarriage in the fall.

The newly engaged couple headed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for “sun, bikinis, friends, food, tequila … celebration!!!! Gonna be the best trip!!” the 28-year-old singer tweeted.

At the airport, LeAnn flashed her engagement ring - a platinum sparkler with a 5-carat oval diamond set in rose gold fleur-de-lis connected to the band.

“Once again, thank you all for your kindness and for sharing in our happiness. We are off to sweet dream land. Til tmrw twele’s love you all!” LeAnn wrote in another tweet.

Eddie, 37, also gushed about the good news, tweeting, “It has been an unbelievable Christmas here! I truly hope it has been the same for all of you. Can’t wait to see what 2011 will bring…”
