Chad Michael Murray celebrates his 28th birthday at Tao Asian Bistro at The Venetian Hotel and Casino Resort on Friday (August 28) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The former One Tree Hill hunk, whose birthday was this past Monday, dined with his fiancee Kenzie Dalton and a few pals. The group feasted on satay bass, lobster wontons, yellowtail jalapeno and spicy shrimp rolls before heading to a VIP in the nightclub stocked with Grey Goose.

CMM continued his birthday celebration with dinner at Lavo on Saturday night. After dinner and blowing out the candles on a cake, the crew took over a table on the dance floor in Lavo's second story nightclub and stayed until the early hours of the morning.

Gossip Girl stars (and real life-couple) Blake Lively and Penn Badgley hold hands as they take a stroll down Fifth Avennue in New York City on Thursday (August 27).

On Friday’s USTA & Heineken kick-off for the 2009 US Open, Penn told JustJared.com what he got for Blake for her birthday (she turned 22 last Tuesday): “I got her a painting from a Russian street artist.”

FYI: Blake is really into art and paintings. She told JustJared.com that an elephant drew a painting for her while she was in Thailand earlier this year. Penn added to the story on Friday. He said, “Surprisingly, the most spiritual thing [Blake and I did in Thailand] was riding the elephants. They are incredible creatures and I honestly wasn’t expecting it. They’re unbelievably smart and communicative. I literally had a physical feeling in my chest. It was religious, nearly - I’m not religious but riding them was unbelievable.”

Penn added, “The elephants paint, man! It’s really mind-blowing. We paid $300 for six hours with our own elephant each. We rode them into the river, we bathed them, got back on them, rode them into the jungle and they painted! Blake’s painting is beautiful. Mine didn’t come out so well.” Wah wah…

Many of the gifts – which included a Sleep Sheep toy mobile, Sleepy Safari stacking toys, organic hooded towels and a Kiddopotamus organic swaddle wrap – came from the Juvenile Shop in Sherman Oaks, where Ellen is registered. (Ellen and pal Nicole Richie shopped there together last month.)

Carrie Underwood speaks at Checotah High School to surprise students with more than $117,000 in new music instruments, on Friday (August 28) in in Checotah, Oklahoma.

The donated pieces were a a joint gift from 26-year-old's C.A.T.S. Foundation (Checotah Animal, Town and Schools) and ACM Lifting Lives (Academy of Country Music).

“I am so proud to have come from such a wonderful community that helped shape me as a person,” said Carrie. “And I can think of nothing better than to share the gift of music with the students in my hometown. It’s so great to be able to give back in a way that can truly better the lives of these kids and help create dreams and opportunities.”

During the presentation, Carrie sang an impromptu duet of her song “So Small” with fifth-grader Kenedee Rittenhouse, 11.

“Ellen looked gorgeous in a white summer dress with her hair in a braided up-do. She seemed very excited to celebrate with her girlfriends,” a spywitness told People.
