Elton John and husband David Furnish are the parents of a baby boy!

The couple welcomed Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John on Christmas via a surrogate, Us Weekly reports.

“We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment,” Elton, 62, and David, 48, said in a joint statement. “Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents.”

The baby was born in California and weighed 7 pounds, 15 oz.

The day before Zachary’s birth, Elton and David were spotted doing some last-minute holiday shopping at Barneys New York and Neiman Marcus.

The 29-year-old actress was recently asked how she would adapt to moving somewhere colder.

She told InStyle, "Layering will be key, as will a good winter jacket or two (my suggestions: a peacoat and a puffer). Smythe's tailored overcoats are warm but they still have style.”

“I'd wear a lot of jeans tucked into boots and thick, chunky sweaters (I like Vince's selection),” she added, “or a cashmere hoodie under a wool blazer with a scarf."

She added, “It was nice to have our little secret for us our families and friend’s a few days! So excited to now share the wonderful news with our fans. Thank you for all your well wishes!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love.”

Maroon 5 is set to rock the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards next month!

Benjamin, 33, and Natalie, 29, met during the production of the Darren Aronofsky ballet thriller Black Swan. Nat’s performance received nominations for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award.

Nat and Ashton Kutcher’s romantic comedy, No Strings Attached, opens January 21, 2011.
