Sofia Vergara stops by Good Morning America and then heads over to the Late Show with David Letterman on Tuesday (December 12) in New York City.

When asked on GMA about how close her character is to her real life persona, she admitted, “A lot. I’m Colombian, I kind of have the accent, and I also have a kid. I’m an immigrant in this country, so there are a lot of similarities.”

Sofia went on to say, “When I first get the script, before I go to the table read every week, I just think, ‘How would my mother react to this?’ because I want to make it very real. I mean, funny, but in a way I want to make it like how a Colombian woman reacts.”

Christian Bale is set to star in a new film that depicts the Nanjing Massacre during World War II.

The 36-year-old actor will be teaming up with Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou and will start filming on location in Nanjing in January, according to the Associated Press.

Christian will be playing a an American priest in the new project. The new film is an adaption of a book by Yan Geling which follows 13 sex workers in Nanjing who replaced university students as escorts during the Japanese invasion which resulted in the death of at least 150,000 Chinese civilians.

MTV has signed an option deal for a series starring Jersey Shore’s Pauly D, the Providence, Rhode Island, native’s life outside of the Shore.

“At the heart of Jersey Shore is the unique and genuine cast and Pauly D truly embodies both qualities,” Chris Linn, executive vice president of programming and head of production for MTV, said in a statement. “He’s distinguished himself onscreen as the fun-loving, well-coiffed and dependable guy you can’t help but want to hang out with. We know viewers are curious about his life away from the shore and we look forward to exploring new possibilities around that.”

The third season of Jersey Shore will kick off January 6.

Kate Hudson browses through a boutique and picks up some bargains on Thursday (December 23) in Aspen, Colorado.

The 31-year-old actress’s boyfriend, Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy, also did some shopping of his own around town.

The couple is spending time with Kate’s family in Aspen over the holidays. Her mom, Goldie Hawn is celebrating Christmas in Colorado at the home she shares with her long-term partner, actor Kurt Russell.

Goldie was spotted in Aspen wearing a t-shirt that read “Spiritual Gangsta.”

Madonna leaves after a meal at the The Wolseley in London, England on Tuesday night (December 21).

The 52-year-old Material Girl was on a London-bound Virgin flight that was rerouted from Heathrow Airport to Stansted. Passengers had to wait three hours while she and her entourage reportedly left after one hour.

“It was bad enough having to wait, but then she started doing her yoga in the aisles. After about an hour, a bus came along and took her and her party of about 15 off the plane. It seemed a ­little unfair — it’s not like she is the president or anything. The rest of us all had to wait for another two hours,” a first-class passenger told the Daily Mail.

Virgin issued a statement saying it was common for “business and first-class passengers to disembark first.”

She’s on break from Glee, but Dianna Agron still took center stage recently at an off-Broadway show!

While on vacation with her family in NYC, the 24-year-old actress caught the Blue Man Group show and “was wildly taken aback.”

“They picked me to go on stage because I couldn't stop laughing and turning red when they got near me while looking for an audience member,” Dianna wrote on her blog.

“Yes, I am an actor,” she added, “but I assure you, it was not nearly the same. Red faced, snorting and convulsing with laughter, I made it through. But oh, how I was embarrassed.”

After two days in the Big Apple, Dianna jetted to Europe for some skiing in a “winter wonderland” where it snowed non-stop!

“Happy holidays. To your health, happiness, love and laughter,” Dianna wrote at the end of her blog post.

Brody Jenner is sandwiched in between his girlfriend Avril Lavigne and step-sister Kim Kardashian during The Kardashians holiday party on Friday, Christmas Eve in Los Angeles.

“I’m having 150 people over for dinner,” mama Kris Jenner told USA Today. “So no big deal at all! I’m making all the desserts. I’m working on cheesecake, brownies and a lemon cake for my son-in-law Lamar (Odom). It’s great therapy. We all love to cook. All the girls love to cook. Kim makes a great cupcake.”

EI: The big spaceship in Star Wars. When I was a kid I was very attached to Star Wars.

JJ: Did you like the latest installments of Star Wars?

EI: Not as much as the older ones.

EI: There wasn’t anything that I really wanted.

JJ: Is there a gift you’re hoping to get under your Christmas tree this year?

EI: Yes!! I want to be able to take 48 hours of peace and quiet where I can sleep and relax.

JJ: You need a vacation! Are you on the naughty or nice list this year?

EI: I’m in between! [laughs]

JJ: Do you have any favorite family traditions?

EI: You know, to my mom it’s so important. On the 24th we eat dinner right before the 25th. That right there is crucial for her.

JJ: And who does the cooking?

EI: She doesn’t do the cooking, that’s for sure. We usually eat turkey.

JJ: Do you have a favorite Christmas carol?

EI: Nope, not really. I mean I like a bunch of them.

JJ: Do you have a favorite Christmas song?

EI: You know what Christmas song I used to listen when I was a little kid over and over? George Michael’s “Last Christmas”. That was my favorite. Well classic maybe is from that generation.

JJ: If you could design the ugliest Christmas sweater, what would you put on it?

EI: I don’t know. It’d be really green. Really, really green with a reindeer on it!

The couple are already parents to sons Rhys Edward, 1, and Griffin Thomas, 3.
