George Clooney arrives at a building reportedly for a photo shoot on Wednesday (September 28) in Los Angeles.

The 50-year-old actor premiered his latest film, The Ides of March, with co-stars Ryan Gosling and Evan Rachel Wood the night before.

“[The] highlight of the film [is] watching Ryan Gosling’s work from beginning to end. He’s a wonderful actor,” George told Us Weekly.

“He was the only guy I could get really. And he’s cheap! He’s got nothing to do. He was unemployed,” he joked.

“He’s just one of the best in the business, truly,” George added. “And he’s 30 years old - 25, or 15? Whatever he is, he’s just unbelievably talented.”

Julianne Hough comes out to support boyfriend Ryan Seacrest at LA’s Promise 2011 Gala on Tuesday (September 27) at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

The event, which featured an exclusive private screening of Cirque du Soleil’s latest show Iris, paid tribute to the American Idol host.

“This year’s honoree is a pioneer is in his own right,” Mike McGalliard, LA’s Promise President and CEO said. “Ryan represents the spirit of our organization in both his work and his philanthropic endeavors, transforming the lives of children and families who live within LA’s Promise Neighborhood.”

Mariska Hargitay has generously donated $100,000 to the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television for an acting scholarship, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 47-year-old Law & Order: SVU actress gave the money for a scholarship, now named the Mariska Hargitay Scholarship for Acting Students, to theatre students based on merit need.

“After all I have received from TFT for my journey as an actor; I am so excited to give back,” Mariska said in a statement.

“My education there not only gave me an invaluable foundation for my craft, but also lit the fire of enthusiasm, perseverance and pursuit of excellence that has fueled me ever since,” she continued.

This past June, Mariska was the commencement speaker for UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film, and Television.

Hugh Jackman suits up for the Australian premiere of his new movie, Real Steel, at Event Cinemas on Wednesday (September 28) in Sydney, Australia.

The 42-year-old Aussie actor was joined by his body double, Taris Tyler, at the premiere!

Tom Cruise shows off his new hairdo on the set of his latest movie, One Shot, on Wednesday (September 28) in Pittsburgh, Penn.

The 49-year-old actor stars as Jack Reacher, a retired military police member who investigates the murder of five people killed by a sniper.

Tom can next be seen in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, which will open first in IMAX and other select theaters five days before it hits opens everywhere on December 21.

Tom will also be working on a yet-to-be-titled sci-fi flick with Jessica Chastain for Universal.

“Just because you’re an actor or make films or whatever doesn’t mean you’re not entitled to your own personal privacy,” the 26-year-old actress said in an interview with CNN (via Reuters).

“If that is sieged in some way, it feels unjust. It feels wrong,” she added.

Scarlett also talked about life in the spotlight and how it can be a struggle.

“It’s an adjustment,” she shared. “But I think there are certain instances where you give a lot of yourself and finally you have to kind of put your foot down and say, ‘Oh wait, I’m taking it back.’”
