Ameriie shows off her blonde new do while out with a gal pal recently.

"I've always wanted to go platinum blonde, and I figured I'd finally just do it," the 30-year-old told Rap-Up. "One of the things that inspired me are photos I've seen of children in the Solomon Islands. They are very brown-skinned, and a lot of them grow white-blonde hair naturally. The contrast in dark skin tone and extremely light hair is really beautiful to me. So I just went for it!"

A solo Jessica Simpson arrives in New York City on Monday (September 6).

Tomorrow at 5PM, the 30-year-old designer will debut the new Jessica Simpson Collection to help kick off Fashion Week.

Jess will style her closest girlfriends, including younger sister Ashlee and CaCee Cobb. Her brother-in-law Pete Wentz will DJ the party!

“I asked a lot of my best friends to be the models because I think they represent the woman who’s going to the stores,” Jess told USA Today. “Ashlee definitely has her look picked out. She’ll be a rock star.”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes take their kids — Isabella, Connor, and Suri — to a family fun dinner at Serendipity 3 on the Upper East Side of New York City on Monday night (September 6).

When Wyclef Jean announced his intentions to run for the Haitian presidency, Sean Penn was “suspicious.”

At a concert on Friday, Wyclef slammed Sean during one of his songs, accusing him of “sniffing cocaine.”

The accusations are not true, according to his rep.

"Mr. Jean is clearly unfamiliar with the physical demands put upon volunteers in Haiti,” Sean’s rep tells JustJared.com. “As aid workers there, the notion of depleting the body's immune system thru the use of illicit drugs is ludicrous. More specifically, J/P Haitian Relief Organization (a.k.a. JPHRO) has a ZERO tolerance policy for any and all illegal drugs. As the leader of this organization, Sean Penn has not only set this policy, but adheres to it. That Mr. Jean would make such a false accusation is reckless and saddening, but not surprising."

Wyclef Jean kills Sean Penn softly with his song as he performs a re-make of his 2004 song, “President,” at Hot 97’s On the Reggae Tip Concert in New York City on Friday (September 3).

After Sean, 50, and former Fugees bandmate Pras, 37, criticized Wyclef’s highly publicized bid and subsequent withdrawal from the Haitian presidential race, the 40-year-old Yéle Haiti Foundation founder had some choice words for the two of them.

Here are some of Wyclef’s lyrics: “I got a message for Sean Penn/ Maybe he ain’t see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine/ I got a message for Praswell/ Even though you don’t want to support me/ I got love for you/Even though you only kicked 8 bars in the Fugees.”

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon actress Ziyi Zhang will portray the legendary young heroine soldier Hua Mulan in an independently-produced film.

The story was first popularized in the 1998 Disney animated film, Mulan. This time, the pic will be helmed by director Jan de Bont (Speed, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider). Seems like creating superstars out of kick-ass female characters is Jan’s thing!

Mulan is set to start shooting this fall outside Shanghai. Let’s hope this one’s a good one!

John Travolta and his pregnant wife Kelly Preston visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort on Sunday (September 5) in Florida.

After sipping Butterbeer at the Hog's Head pub, John, 56, and Kelly, 47, stepped into Ollivanders wand shop – where the wand chooses the wizard.

Last month, it was confirmed that the much-deserving couple are expecting a son. No word on a due date yet!

John and Kelly had a 16-year-old son Jett, who died of a seizure in January 2009. They also have a daughter Ella, 10.
