Kanye West offers up an emotional apology to Taylor Swift during his appearance for the premiere night of The Jay Leno Show on Monday (September 14).

The 32-year-old entertainer from Atlanta, Georgia was extremely shaken during the interview while expressing regret for interrupting Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech during yesterday’s MTV Video Music Awards.

He also talked about taking a break after this controversy, saying, “It was rude, period. So many celebrities, they never take the time off. I've never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour. I'm just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else's hurt. My dream of what awards shows are supposed to be, 'cause, and I don't try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That's period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I'm going to make it through the rest of this life, how I'm going to improve.”

Although Kanye was set to perform, he asked for some air time to talk. During the interview, he said it was, “extremely difficult to deal with the fact that I hurt someone and took something away from a talented artist."

Jude Law shares a laugh with his BFF, fellow British actor Jonny Lee Miller, while taking a stroll through the West Village neighborhood of New York City on Monday (September 14).

Jonny was seen pushing his son Buster Miller, 9 months, in a stroller. Jude’s BFF assistant Ben Jackson also tagged along for the walk.

Both Jude and Jonny are starring in Broadway plays this fall — Jude in Hamlet and Jonny in After Miss Julie (co-starring Sienna Miller, Jude’s ex).

Taylor won for Best Female Video at the awards ceremony, however, she was caught in a bind after Kanye West ran up onto the stage while she was giving her acceptance speech.

Legendary actor Patrick Swayze has passed away at the age of 57 after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Patrick is best known for his roles in Ghost and Dirty Dancing.

According to his publicist, Annett Wolf, “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Patrick’s family and friends.

Tennis player Serena Williams talks to the media on Monday (September 14th) about her temper tantrum over at the weekend at the U.S. Open in New York City.

The 27-year-old number 2 ranked player in the world captured the women’s doubles title along with her sister, Venus Williams, on Monday (September 14th.) The powerful sister duo defeated the number 1 ranked team, Cara Black and Liezel Huber.

The talk of the Open, however, was Serena Williams exploding at the line judge for a foot fault penalty. Due to her outburst, she was assessed a point penalty, giving the semi-final match to Kim Clijsters (who went on to win the title).

Her outburst included, “If I could, I would take this (expletive) ball and show it down your (expletive) throat.”

Serena issued a statement on Monday, saying, “I want to amend my press statement of yesterday and want to make it clear as possible — I want to sincerely apologize first to the lineswoman, Kim Clijsters, the USTA and mostly tennis fans everywhere for my inappropriate outburst. I’m a woman of great pride, faith and integrity and I admit when I’m wrong.”

"If you look at the lives we're leading on the show and the lives we're leading offscreen, I mean, they're very similar," Penn said of his on-and-off-screen relationship with Blake. "But it's not weird, it doesn't feel incestuous."

Last night, the 38-year-old British actor and his Hamlet castmates had quite a blast at an after-party for the 2009 MTV VMAs at NYC hotspot 1Oak. Jude was seen dancing around a stripper pole with two female friends while the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” played in the background. He was also seen giving spirit fingers while Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” was playing. Jude’s assistant BFF Ben Jackson was also present.

Model Samantha Burke is due to give birth to Jude's baby next month.

Kate Gosselin is escorted back to her hotel by bodyguard Steve Neild after co-hosting The View in New York City on Monday (September 14).

Co-host Sherri Shepherd asked the 34-year-old reality TV mom what it was like when ex-husband-to-be Jon Gosselin introduced his 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, to their eight children.

“This is definitely, I’m not going to lie, difficult,” Kate responded. “The truth, for the sake of my children, I’m going to take the high road [and not talk about it]. At Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift was interrupted by Kanye West during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video to say that Beyonce deserved to win. The 19-year-old country cutie opened up to reporters about the incident.

“Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award,” she said. “And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that.”

Added Taylor, “I’ve been getting so many text messages and everybody’s been really nice. So I’ve had a really, really fun night. It’s been interesting definitely. It’s definitely been an interesting night… I don’t know him, and I’ve never met him, so… I don’t want to start anything because I had a great night tonight.”

When Beyonce won for Video of the Year, she let Taylor have the spotlight during her acceptance speech.

“They told me to stand by the side of the stage, and I didn’t really know what was going to go down,” Taylor said. “But I thought it was so wonderful and gracious of her to do what she’s always done. She’s always been a great person before anything else. Before the talented artist, the superstar, she’s always been a great person and I just, I thought I couldn’t love Beyonce more tonight, than tonight.”

Salma Hayek her husband Francois-Henri Pinault take their daughter Valentina Pinault out for lunch with friends and family on Sunday (September 13) in Malibu, Calif.

Valentina, who turns two later this month, spent some quality time with her dad at Beverly Glen Park on Thursday.

Salma, 43, will be given the Anthony Quinn Award for Industry Excellence, this Friday (September 17) at the 2009 ALMA awards.
