Penelope Cruz will be playing the daughter of Johnny Depp’s nemesis in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth installment of the franchise.

“She plays the daughter of Blackbeard,” executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer told MTV at ShoWest in Las Vegas. “She’s the daughter of the bad guy. She brings a lot of humor to it. And the fact that she’s so feisty. [There will be] a little romance between [Depp's] Captain Jack and the character that Penelope plays.”

Michael Vartan is engaged to his girlfriend Lauren Skaar, his rep confirms to People.

The 41-year-old former Alias star proposed to Lauren, 25, two weeks ago in New York. The couple met last year in the parking lot of a Whole Foods supermarket in Los Angeles.

Michael dated his Alias co-star Jennifer Garner in 2003 before she wound up marrying Ben Affleck.

Lauren is a 2006 graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara, where she earned a B.A. in psychology. Her LinkedIn profile says she currently works in Marketing and Advertising.

The 33-year-old Swedish stunner and his father Stellan Skarsgard will lend their voice talents to the animated family 3D feature, Moomins And The Comet Chase. THR reports the father-son pair will voice the characters of father Moominpapa and son Moomintroll.

Chris Evans has reportedly been offered the role of Captain America!

The 28-year-old actor, who played a superhero in the Fantastic Four series, would star in up to three Captain America movies plus The Avengers films and other Marvel projects.

Chris is lined up to shoot What’s Your Number? with Anna Faris, THR notes, which is a possible conflict - Captain America will shoot in England this summer.

Chris was not listed in the initial round of actors up for consideration and reportedly did not screen test, having worked with Marvel in the past.

Jennifer Lopez is in talks to star in a remake of the 1987 romantic comedy Overboard!

The original film, which starred Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, told the story of a spoiled woman who falls off her yacht and is taken to the hospital by a “morally challenged” carpenter, according to THR.

When the woman wakes up with amnesia, the carpenter convinces her that she is his wife so that he can have a free housekeeper for his four sons!

The film, formerly known as The Baster, is about Kassie (Aniston), a woman who gets pregnant with help from a sperm donor (Patrick Wilson) despite the objections of Wally (Bateman), her best friend.

Unbeknownst to her, a last-minute switch changes everything, and Wally doesn’t discover it until seven years later when he meets Kassie’s son.

The Switch hits theaters August 20!

Hugh Jackman suits up for his Tokyo Dancing Hotel ad for Lipton Iced Tea in this advertisement.

The 41-year-old Aussie actor, who serves as Lipton’s global brand ambassador, shot the ad in January in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Michael Gracey, who directed the hilarious Evian Roller Babies commercial, helmed the project!

“I was so happy because, for me, when you're celebrating the greatest moments you have in life, you dance,” Hugh shared. “Even the butchest guy playing football will dance when they score a touchdown or a try.

“When you feel good about life, you dance, and in this commercial, I play someone who's a little tired and run down, in a place where he doesn't have anyone around him that he knows. He has a sip of the drink [Lipton Ice Tea] and inside he starts to feel alive and positive.”

American Idol runner up Bo Bice is changing up his look with shorter hair!

The 34-year-old rocker from the show’s fourth season recently cut off five inches of his famously long locks and donated 10 inches to Locks of Love, a charity that provides hair prosthetics for children with hair loss.

“I have a new project with a new style of music, incorporating more country elements,” Bo told People.

“With all these new aspects going on in my career,” he added, “it was just another thing that I felt needed a bit of change.”
