Despite currently being separated, soccer stud Landon Donovan took his wife, Rules of Engagement actress Bianca Kajlich, to the 2010 ESPY Awards held at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday (July 14) in Los Angeles.

"We are very cool. We are best of friends," Landon told Access Hollywood. "What the future brings, who knows? But for now, we're gonna have a good time tonight."

"We are still separated," Bianca adds. "Tonight's just about him and supporting him, so I think tonight we're just trying to have fun."

During the ceremony, Landon, 28, was honored with the ESPY award for Best Moment (his extra-time goal that gave the US soccer team a 1-0 World Cup victory).

According to EW, the 44-year-old Canadian actor, who also starred on ABC’s Men in Trees, will play Andrew Perkins, “a trauma counselor brought in to help Seattle Grace recover from that nightmarish season-ending bloodbath.”

The season premiere of Grey's kicks off on Thursday (Sept. 23) with episode "With You I'm Born Again."
