Michael Vartan attends the Rome Fiction Fest held at the Adriano Cinema in Rome, Italy on Monday (July 5).

The 41-year-old French-American actor took part in the international festival dedicated to highlighting actors and producers of television fiction.

At the event, Michael spoke a little bit about his show HawthoRNe and how he thinks it stands out from other medical dramas.

“What we like to think makes our show different from the rest of the medical shows is that it is told through variety,” Michael shared during an open table discussion. “A lot of the shows deal with doctors and the surgeons, the people who can give and take life, but our show is told through the eyes of a nurse…who are the people that really care for the patients and sick people.”

Christina Hendricks is looking more glamorous than ever on the latest cover of LA Times Magazine.

The 35-year-old Mad Men bombshell started dyeing her blond hair red at age 10. When asked how she sold that choice to her folks, Christina shared, “They did it to me! I was obsessed with the Canadian novel ‘Anne of Green Gables.’ I decided I was Anne of Green Gables. There was something that spoke to me about her, and I wanted to have her beautiful red hair. So my mother said, ‘Let's just go to the drugstore and get one of those cover-the-gray rinses!’ My hair was very blond at the time, but it went carrot red. And I was over the moon. I went to school the next day and felt like myself. And then I went back [to that color] over and over again. What a cool mom, right?”

Serena Williams gets glammed up for Harper’s Bazaar and Uptown magazine’s most recent issues.

The 28-year-old Wimbledon champ recently told Harper’s Bazaar that she has come to terms with her body and is glad it’s not the same as sister Venus‘!

“I was 23 when I realized that I wasn’t Venus. She’s totally different,” Serena shared. “I’m super curvy. I have big boobs and this massive butt. She’s tall and she’s like a model and she fits everything.”

“I was growing up, wanting to be her, wanting to look like her, and I was always fitting in her clothes, but then one day I couldn’t. But it’s fine,” Serena added. “Now I’m obviously good, but it’s a weird thing. . . . To this day, I don’t love my arms. People want more fit arms, but my arms are too fit. But I’m not complaining. They pay my bills.”

The cast of the Vampire Diaries stops by a fan event held in Melbourne, Australia on Monday (July 5).

The show’s stars - Nina Dobrev, 21, Ian Somerhalder, 31, and Paul Wesley, 27 - made an appearance at a convention in Melbourne each got a turn to talk about the show. Paul and Ian also participated in the Starlite Foundation charity auction where they each designed a t-shirt. Paul designed two shirts which sold for $1000 a piece while Ian’s shirt sold for $2000!

The Vampire Diaries is set to return to the CW September 9th, but fans can pick up the first season on DVD next month!

Cristiano, who arrived on Saturday, spent most of the 4th of July holiday in New York. He was most recently spotted at the SoHo house shirtless yesterday cooling off at the pool.

Lindsay Lohan arrives at her probation violation hearing on Tuesday (July 6) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 24-year-old actress was ordered to complete alcohol education classes every week, without fail. At the time of the court date, Lindsay had missed seven classes.

Linds got emotional when she addressed the judge after it was found that she had, in fact, violated her probation. “I’m not taking this as a joke - it’s my life, it’s my career, something I’ve worked for my entire life,” Lindsay said, fighting back tears.

“I wasn’t missing classes just to hang out and do anything - I was working,” Lindsay added.

FYI: Lindsay’s SCRAM bracelet issue was not up for discussion at the hearing - the judge solely discussed whether Linds violated her probation by failing to attend enough alcohol education courses.

UPDATE: Lindsay was sentenced to a total of 90 days in jail for her reckless driving and for her consecutive DUIs. She will also need to report to a 90-day inpatient substance abuse program and remain on probation.

Eclipse dominated the box office this Fourth of July raking in an estimated $82.5 million over the weekend.

The new installment in the Twilight series, which opened at midnight a week ago, now has a cumulative total of $175.3 million.

The film also took top spots in the international market as well, taking in $104.6 million in over 42 territories, according to Variety.

Following just behind Eclipse was M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender which took in $40.6 million and Pixar’s Toy Story 3 which took in $30.2 million.

American Idol has earned FOX an estimated $800 million in advertising revenue!

Rumors are swirling that the talent competition may be bought from CKX Inc., the company that owns the show.

Ratings are down 9% from last year, and Simon Cowell’s departure may further hurt viewership. Simon’s salary was about $35 million, according to the L.A. Times!

Although some say the show is past its prime at this point, it could still be a lucrative investment for the right firm.
